I have picked up on an old idea, called 'Nightmare City'. I will explain it in further detail later in this journal. I'm not having any issues with like setting or anything, but I need help making a variety of characters. Thus, I come to you, my awesomesauce friends. xP I'm asking for auditions for characters.
The story I'll be writing will take place after Nightmare City Catastrophe(check Misc.), and will be known as Nightmare City Regeneration.

'Nightmare City' takes place in 30XX A.D. The world had decimated to a point of extinction, turning into a wasteland. There is only one city left, and it is the largest in esistance, named Nightmare City by the remaining humans and beastmen(explanation will be told in the story's prologue), due to the fact that they are forced to fight within it, some enjoying it other fearing it. For some reason this city is in perfect condition. People are drawn to Nightmare City by a mysterious voice in their heads, promising them a contract of sorts. People that accept that contract are allowed into Nightmare City by this mysterious voice, nicknamed Ghost. Nightmare City lives up to it's name as people become more and more frightened of the fighting, and the city begins to seem fake. Too unreal to exist. Those who try to escape... hm, I think I'll let you see that in the story, its a major piece.
For some reason, they develop mysterious powers, now known widely as Manah. Manah is a telekinetic ability that allows someone to harness energy from the force keeping Nightmare City in tact. It starts out very crude, only making a light in the hand of the user with no use, but can evolve in a way that can even allow it to harness an element, and take a physical shape. Only a select few have developed this far, which are the servants of Ghost, and one highly gifted individual. Most who haven't been able to harness this ability use firearms and normal bladed weapons.

(4/21)Ghost has Guardians, which are highly trained in the use of Manah, to prevent people from escaping the city, and be a large threat to the inhabitants. It seems, however, that this is also a good thing. The world seems to have been just a cluster of data, and now that it's been worn down to this point, can start to disappear very easily. As a back-up defense, Ghost has created an motion-triggered wall that will engage if someone is near escaping Nightmare City. It is ringed along where data has stopped corroding. Only one person has made it out of this wall and survived, and that would be our Protagonist.

Alrighty then, now that that thats finished, I can tell you about character development. You can either draw your character or send me a detailed description using the form included. If you draw the character, include it's Manah color, weapon of choice, and personality in the deviation description.

Also, please acknowledge that I will be screwing around with the base story quite a bit. I'll have it set to notify.
A few good friends of mine also made a flash of this idea years ago. I came up with this far before I moved here, I'm just now getting to work on writing it. The idea is far from complete, but my friends did an AMAZING job animating it. The idea started 3 years ago with the NightmareCity flashes, and now I'm continuing it. Since I was twelve, the plot was very vague, sadly.
!FLASHES! They were submitted to flash contests, sadly the Clairvoyance team(which I was formerly a part of) have lost contact. They lived in Japannnnn. Yay for multicountry chatrooms. (How we all met)

Ghost: Purple Neko w/sword HE IS NOT DEAD. Ghost may have been severely injured when our protagonist(still no name) busted through the floor of the city with his finisher move. The prologue starts at this point.
